First Division

Phase 1  1 round all play all (round robin).         55 matches

Phase 2  Championship Pool
  Teams classified 1 to 6 of the final classification of phase 1
  6 teams - 1 round all play all (round robin).         15 matches

  Relegation Pool
  Teams classified 7 to 11 of the final classification of phase 1
  5 teams - 1 round all play all (round robin).         10 matches

TEAMS WILL START PHASE 2 WITH HALF THE POINTS THAT THEY WON IN PHASE 1

Phase 3 (i) Championship Play-offs
  Teams 3 to 6 - Quarter-finals on 2 legs (teams 3 and 4 seeded)        9 matches
  Teams 1 and 2 + 2 qualified to play Semi-finals on 2 legs
  (teams 1 and 2 seeded)
  Winners to play Championship Final (1 match)

(ii) Relegation-Promotion Play-offs
  Teams 8 & 9 + 2nd Placed Division 2 (2 teams)        6 matches
  All play all on 1 round.
  Winner will remain in 1st Division
  Others relegated/remain in Division 2 for season 2009-10

(iii) Automatic Relegation
  Teams 10 and 11 will be relegated automatically to 2nd Division.

(iv) Season 2009-2010
  Season 2009-2010 will be made up of 10 teams

  Fees
  Affiliated Clubs will pay:     Option A  € 1,030 incl affiliation fee
       Option B  € 960 incl affiliation fee

  Due to the difference of matches being played the following rebates will be given:
  Teams finishing in positions 7, 10 & 11 will be given:       € 190
